As much as I love the pocket square (and think it will be lovely in your wedding!), calling pols (whether us policy wonks or the actual politicians) "hip" is a bit of a stretch! I think a lot of the older guys around here wear the square more out of a sense of old-school tradition than hipness. I haven't seen it trickle down to the younger folks yet, although there are more and more people with a sense of style finally trickling into the District these days. :)
