In our delicate dance around the no-cake-please dessert dilemma, strawberry shortcake had come and gone from our list of contenders. The pros: on-point thematically, yummy, a personal fave of us both. The cons: messy, iffy presentation, complicated. And once we discovered that we could do an entire dessert spread made by the chefs at our venue (creme brulees, petit fours, etc.), it left our minds completely.
However, we just found out that our venue now offers strawberry shortcake. So guess who has a strawberry shortcake tasting set up in two weeks, timed conveniently after our barbecue tasting at the potential Welcome Cookout vendor location? Yum!
Bring on the berries.
